Case Studies

California Apparel News has been a staple in the fashion industry, particularly for those in Southern California. Established in 1945, the publication began as a modest trade paper but grew to become a critical resource for the apparel and textile sectors. It is headquartered in Los Angeles, the heart of the West Coast’s fashion and manufacturing scene.

The logo and layout had not changed in over twenty years—convincing the publisher was the first order of business. Working with their brilliant art director, after many weeks of design proposals, the new News Gothic logo and a three-column grid was decided upon.

It remains to this day.
